Located on a corner site and adjoined by the Brighton Golf Course this contemporary design incorporates a variety of building materials including face brickwork, render, stone, timber cladding and slate roofing. 

There was considerable opposition to the extent of form of this proposal in particular the inclusion of a third level.  Council also had some in principle issues with the third level in a location not close to public transport/services. 

Based on some design changes to the façade and additional discussions highlighting that the third level is recessive we were able to secure the support of the Council planners.  The proposal was refused at a Council meeting and our client then appealed this decision at VCAT, where the proposal was supported and Council directed to issue a Permit.
