The proposal was refused by Council and we were approached by the client to represent her at VCAT or if possible, seek a resolution prior to the hearing. The reasons for refusal included over development and character.

We suggested a range of changes to the plans which we believed would maximise our chances of success at the Tribunal. With amending plans in hand, we met with Council and lobbied them for support. We overcame their in-principle issue with the three (3) dwellings and ultimately secured a consent order for two, double storey and a single dwelling through VCAT without significant changes to the building form.
