Project Type: | Construction of a Dwelling on a Lot Less than 500 Square Metres |
Council: | Bayside City Council. |
Architect: | Aych Architecture |
This project was for the construction of a contemporary style two storey dwelling on a small corner lot. Council were receptive to the scale of the dwelling, however they were concerned about the architectural detailing with perceived lack of articulation, the proximity of the garage to the side street resulting in a safety issue and they sought the retention of the tree located in the front corner of the site.
The tree was able to be retained following an Arboricultural investigation and we were then able to convince Council to support the style of the dwelling and setback of the garage.
