Project Type: Multi Unit Development.
Council: Nillumbik Shire
Architect:

We recently secured some peace of mind for a client who was uncertain whether her Planning Permit for a 4 double storey townhouse development had expired.

Before coming to us, she had applied to extend her Planning Permit and had been refused by Council due to a Planning Scheme Amendment that introduced added Planning Permit requirements to her land.

Upon engaging our services and explaining the situation to us, we were able to establish that she had in fact already acted on the Planning Permit as she had already removed some of the trees for which the permit had been issued /they were shown on the approved plans to be removed. We then prepared an email to Council advocating on her behalf and after further negotiations, Council confirmed that her Permit remained valid and she could continue the development.
